Backstage #1: The first Renault Trucks E-Tech T rolls off the production line

It's official: we are now mass-producing the Renault Trucks E-Tech T & C at our Bourg-en-Bresse plant. To meet the multiple requirements of regional transport and urban construction activities, Renault Trucks E-Tech T & C can be ordered with two or three electric motors developing a combined power of up to 490 kW.

A wide choice of traction batteries is available, as Renault Trucks E-Tech T and C can be fitted with four to six lithium-ion battery packs offering between 360 and 540 kWh of power. The batteries can be fully recharged by alternating current (AC) up to 43 kW, or direct current (DC) up to 250 kW. These trucks can travel up to 300 km on a single charge and up to 500 km with an intermediate fast charge (250 kW) lasting one hour.

Backstage #2: The making of an electric truck

From a bare chassis to a finished truck, there are just 4 and a half hours and 500 metres of production line. It breaks down as follows

o Preparation of the chassis
o Assembly of the axles, drive shaft, etc.
o Assembling the powertrain (for diesel vehicles)
o Fitting the cab
o Electrification of the truck for Renault Trucks E-Tech T & C

Backstage #3: A new chapter in the history of Renault Trucks: electromobility

From the first engine created by Marius Berliet in 1894 to the Renault Trucks E-Tech T, a long history of innovation has been woven in the service of road transport.

The Berliet conservatory keeps this memory alive.
Today, this rich past enables Renault Trucks to project itself with confidence and certainty into the transformation underway: electromobility.

Backstage #4: At the wheel of an electric truck

Electric lorries are causing some misgivings among road haulage drivers. Are they legitimate? To find out, we asked our 5 partners, who are themselves HGV drivers, to test the Renault Trucks E-Tech T.

Backstage #5: The creation of a never-before-seen truck

The Good Truck is the story of the creation of a never-before-seen truck. A truck painted with light, and more precisely with electroluminescent paint. We've asked our 5 partner drivers to help us create this design, with the help of Anna, a 2D artist with the publisher of the Euro Truck Simulator 2 video game, and Loïc, an art director with Renault Trucks, and with technical support from Demon Paint and our Design team.

Prepare to vote, from December 15 to December 25. Subscribe to the project, at the bottom of this page, to be notified.
